For freely composed gold accents and refined embellishment
Loose gold leaf is especially suited to applications in which gold is to be used flexibly, lightly and individually: on desserts, pralines, chocolate, cakes, pastries, drinks, cocktails, sushi, cheese, savoury creations or meticulously plated gourmet dishes.
Unlike transfer gold leaf, loose gold leaf is not attached to backing paper. It can therefore be lifted, divided, laid down or positioned in individual sections with exceptional freedom – ideal for organic gold accents, delicate details and an artisanal finish.
Application
Loose gold leaf is exceptionally delicate and should be handled with care.
The leaves are best lifted and positioned with a dry, fine brush, antistatic tweezers or a suitable gold-leaf tool. Work in a still environment away from draughts, as the leaves are extremely light.
Gold leaf adheres particularly well to slightly moist, creamy or fat-based surfaces. For larger areas, place the leaf carefully and press it down very gently.
