Silver powder is suited wherever an especially fine, even or controlled silver effect is desired.
It can be used on pralines, truffles, chocolate, macarons, cakes, desserts, ice cream, pastries, cheese, savoury creations, creams, glazes, ganaches and fine pâtisserie elements. On dark surfaces it appears particularly defined; on pale creams, sugar work or delicate pastries, it is subtler and exceptionally elegant.
It is equally well suited to contemporary desserts, mousses, chocolate domes, petits fours, filled pralines, winter pastries and minimalist plating. Its effect is never overstated, but controlled, cool and refined.
Application
Silver powder can be applied with exceptional precision.
Use a fine, dry brush for targeted application to chocolate, pralines, desserts, pastries or small details. With the Huber Gold shaker, it can be distributed quickly and evenly over dishes.
For a more intensive effect, apply several fine layers. The powder may also be mixed with a small amount of neutral alcohol, such as vodka, to create a brushable silver paste for fine lines, patterns and precisely placed accents.
